UNFPA in Armenia

UNFPA established its office in Armenia in February 1999. However, it has been assisting the country since 1995 within the framework of the National RH Programme. The implementation of the first Country Programme recently started (2005-2009).

In Armenia UNFPA has been helping to improve reproductive health , especially supporting efforts to meet the needs of young people . The gender , perspective has been a key feature in all UNFPA projects related with reproductive health and young people. UNFPA has also supported the country in collection, use and dissemination of data .
