UNFPA in Azerbaijan

In Azerbaijan UNFPA was established in 1994, initially supporting RH projects. The second Country Programme has been initiated and covers 2005-2009.

 UNFPA has supported a wide variety of activities in Azerbaijan tostrengthen national capacity in issues relating to data collection and analysis for development and reproductive health with the gender perspective present throughout. UNFPA also supports efforts to address needs of young people .
