Strengthening MDG Monitoring Systems and Tools Goal: To support the National Statistical Institute in collecting and analyzing accurate data segregated by specific parameters, that would act as population trend indicators and a reliable tool for planning and decision making. Activities and achievements: Support to Gender and Generations Survey in Georgia UNFPA supported implementation of the European programme - Generations and Gender Survey, named in Georgia “Family Relationships and Intergenerational Support”, which is the first national representative statistical survey devoted to the study of the system of gender relationships in a country and to the problems of gender equity in the family, as well as in the social life of individuals throughout its wide range of topics.
