After a detailed study and evaluation, the following six
cities were selected for implementation of the programme:

İzmir

Kars
-
Nevşehir
-
Şanlıurfa
-
Trabzon
-
Van
The criteria applied during
evaluation were: State Planning Organization
statistics, local government willingness and
capacity to partcipate in the programme, potential
synergies from other UN projects in the region,
budgetery considerations, perceived needs as
expressed during preliminary city visits, and
geographical diversity.
Implementation of the program in
cities is intended to demonstrate how participatory
and coordinated cross-sectoral approaches can
improve services resource availibility and improve
the lives of women and girls in a variety of
settings. |
