United Nations Joint Programme (UNJP),
aiming at promoting and protecting women's and girls' rights in Turkey
continues to cooperate with multilateral patners. Programme partners are
not only composed of local governments and NGOs.
Foreign country embassies are also among
the parties that support the UNJP.
Funds provided by foreign countries is an
essential part of the success of the multi purpose UNJP.
As part of
the goal of the project to include funds from bilateral partners, six
countries will financially support the programme.
Sweden
was the leading country in securing funds followed by the other
countries.
Embassies
of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom pledged
support and funds will be allocated for the programme in year 2007.
