Hacı Ömer Sabancı Fundation becomes programme partner

Chairperson of Sabancı Holding Board of Directors, Güler Sabancı, is also the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of leading organizations such as Sabancı University, Sabancı Museum and Hacı Ömer Sabancı Fundation (VAKSA) . She is a wellknown supporter of socially benefical programmes.

Accordingly, VAKSA has focused its activities on  the creation of a better future for all. Inequalities in society not only prey on women but also adversely effect the society as a whole.

Unless the rights of women, the leading force behind the transformation of a society, will be enhanced, it will be harder to achieve “A better future for all”.

VAKSA, in line with this motto to make a positive impact on people’s lives  seems willing to continue to cooperate in the human development projects with international organizations such as UN and EU

Within this context, the multi-purpose UNJP plays an important part in the activities of VAKSA, a fundation mainly   focused on education, social and cultural activities.

Involment of Sabancı University (SU), which was established by VAKSA, in the programme will provide significant academic support for UNJP. SU  will add an academic flavour to the activities of UNJP  through training  programmes, conferences and seminars for participation of various groups.
VAKSA funds  will make a significant contribution to United Nations Joint Programme.
Specifically, VAKSA funds will make possible the implementation of several projects within the UNJP and support new initiatives.

VAKSA’s contribution will also have a significant role in projects  increasing the capacity of women and girls to participate in human development projects in the six programme cities.
