UNFPAa began cooperation activities with the Government
of Turkey
in
1971, initially on a project-by-project basis. The first multi-year
Country Programme covered 1988 to 1992. Currently the third
Country Programme (2000-2005) is being implemented.

UNFPA has been helping to improve reproductive
health especially
supporting efforts to meet the needs of young
people and to promote gender equality.
